Based on the visual evidence provided in image_0.png and image_1.png, this is a classic Victorian-era balloon-back side chair, dating from the mid-to-late 19th century (approximately 1(contact info removed)). Here is a breakdown of the key identifying features that lead to this conclusion: 1. Balloon Back: The most defining feature is the large, rounded, hoop-like shape of the backrest. This design, which became extremely popular during the Victorian period (named after the craze for hot-air ballooning), was intended to be graceful and often features elaborate carvings, though yours is relatively simple with a single horizontal mid-rail. 2. Carved Crest Rail: The top center of the backrest (the crest rail) has a subtle, stylized carved flourish—sometimes called a shield or cartouche shape—that is characteristic of Victorian design. 3. Show-Wood Frame: The dark, polished wood frame (likely walnut or mahogany) is exposed around the entire perimeter of the backrest and seat, which is typical for this style of upholstered chair. 4. Upholstered Seat: The chair has a sprung, over-the-rail upholstered seat. The current heavily textured, speckled fabric appears to be a later replacement, but the shape and size of the seat (wider at the front, tapering to the back) are consistent with Victorian parlor chairs. 5. Legs: The front legs are turned and fluted (specifically, they are spool-turned), a very common decorative detail on Victorian furniture. The back legs are gently saber-shaped (curved backward), which provides stability and is typical for balloon-back chairs to balance the heavy backrest. 6. Trimming: The original upholstery would likely have been finished with decorative gimp braid or, as you can see remnants of, brass-headed upholstery tacks along the seat rail. In summary, this is a textbook example of a Victorian balloon-back chair. While the specific maker is unknown without a label, it is a common and highly recognizable antique style. The wear on the upholstery indicates its age and history, making it a candidate for reupholstery to restore its former elegance.

The top compartment has about 12 inches inch but in the center the two drawers takes some of this space. The distance between the top shelf and the bottom of the lower drawer is about 7 inches. Up until the close of the Civil war, coffee beans were sold green. The consumer had to roast the coffee beans over a wood stove or in a skillet over a campfire before it could be ground and brewed. One burned bean ruined the batch. In 1865, John Arbuckle and his brother Charles, partners in a Pittsburgh grocery business, solved this dilemma by patenting a process for roasting and coating coffee beans with an egg and sugar glaze to seal in the flavor and aroma. Marketed under the name ARBUCKLES’ ARIOSA COFFEE in patented, airtight, one pound packages, the new coffee was an instant success with chuck wagon cooks in the west. ARBUCKLES’ COFFEE became so dominant in the west that many Cowboys were not aware there was any other coffee brand. ARBUCKLES’ ARIOSA COFFEE packages bore a yellow label with the name ARBUCKLES’ in large red letters across the front, beneath which flew a Flying Angel trademark over the words ARIOSA COFFEE in black letters. Arbuckle coffee was shipped all over the country in sturdy wooden crates, one hundred packages to a crate. Arbuckle Coffee packages also contained a stick of peppermint candy. Chuck wagon cooks used the peppermint stick as an incentive to bribe a cowboy into grinding the beans. Upon hearing the cook’s call, “Who wants the candy?” some of the toughest Cowboys on the trail were known to vie for the opportunity of manning the coffee grinder in exchange for satisfying a sweet tooth. For sale is a custom kegerator originally built for home brewing, with six taps, commercial lines, and a distribution housing with shut off valves for the CO2. this was built from a Kenmore chest freezer and has an aftermarket temperature controller, thermal sensor, and fan for air circulation up into the lid when closed. This comes with many brewing accessories, extra hardware, extra lines, a Corny keg, and a CO2 regulator. The bad news: there is a leak somewhere in the coolant line, so we are selling this as-is for someone who wants a project to see if they can get it working again. Enough high quality parts and hardware for a good head start on something new too. $100 OBO, is sold as-is. Call or text: 3 O three 9 one zero 0 O five 4

An independent burner is placed every 12 inches to increase flexibility with the heat settings, and because they are controlled thermostatically, the operator can choose a specific temperature ranging from 200 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
