Vintage signed original watercolor painting by Laura M. Batt a native San Diego, Ca artist. This is an early work dated 1978 or 1979. The date is partly obscured by the matting. Charming painting of cat in garden with vibrant red geraniums, garden hoe, against the backdrop of an old stuccoed dwelling. Professionally framed. Frame size is 22 length x 18 height x 3/4 depth Painting is vibrant with no fading and is from a smoke free home. Laura honed her artistic talents with courses at San Diego Community College, San Diego Academy of Fine Arts, and San Diego State University, as well as, through studies and workshops with numerous renowned artists. Laura painted and etched for more than 30 years. Her works include oils, acrylics, etchings and watercolors. Laura passed away in 2009. I purchased this painting from her in the late 1970s.
