OVERVIEW I am selling 6 pieces of Art Deco Heywood Wakefield stick wicker, (also called split reed), parlor furniture, as well as two mid-century modern tables, also attributed to Heywood Wakefield, which have been in my family since at least the 1950s. Stylish, rare and highly collectible, this beautiful and functional furniture could be used as your primary furniture, or in a Florida room, porch, or vacation home. It is light-weight, yet durable, and is very comfortable. It would be easy to repaint it, and / or recover the seat cushions to suit your taste. Each piece has a sturdy Ash framework painted in a deep sea green, with professionally upholstered zippered cushions in peach, pink and sea green floral cotton, (not original). This furniture is solidly constructed. One couch and chair have open frames, while the second couch and two chairs have springs backed with cardboard and green matting topped by inset boards cut to the size of the seat base, and covered with material matching the cushions. (Please see the photos for details.) I am asking $600 for the whole set. Im emptying a storage unit, so they are priced to sell, and deeply discounted from similar sets sold recently. ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED. DESCRIPTION 1. Couch: Deep seat with wide ribbon-style arm rests: 68w x 29d x 33h. 2. Couch: Deep seat with wide paddle arm rests: 72w x 32d x 33h. 3. Chair: Deep seat with wide paddle arm rests: 34w x 32d x 33h 4. Chair: Deep seat with wide ribbon arm rests: 30w x 29d x 33h 5. Chair: Deep seat with narrow ribbon arm rests: 34w x 32d x 33h 6. Footrest: Round, 23 diameter 7. Corner table: Two level rattan & wood: 28w x 28d x 22h 8. Table: Long narrow rectangular glass-topped: 46w x 17d x 13.5h Two ruffled throw pillows covered in complimentary fabric, are included. CONDITION This set is in good used condition with the following issues, which I tried to show in the photos. - Pieces have some paint chips. - One couch and two chairs have springs mounted on a wooden frame. This is covered by a cardboard mat, seat mat, cloth covered board and a cushion. There is some rust on the metal springs, and the cardboard mat has marker writing on it. However, because they face the floor they are not visible, when the piece is assembled. - Corner table has a visible seam where wood pieces are joined on top. - Couch table is bowed toward the middle, and one piece of glass has a ~2 crack in the corner, and a chip along one edge. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY Please only contact us if you are seriously interested. We are emptying a storage room by October 28th. The furniture is in an accessible storage facility on Northern Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens, close to Manhattan. Pick up can be arranged during the day. The pieces are lightweight but take up a lot of space. You will need a van or small truck to move them, and may have to make a couple trips. (We are unable to help with moving them.) PAYMENT Cash at pick-up. No refunds once the furniture leaves the storage unit. FURTHER INFORMATION Please e-mail me if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest!
