A petite tour de force with remarkable presence. This beautiful vintage Baroque Rococo Regency style gilt mirror proves that a piece doesnt have to be monumental in width to make a room memorable. Standing at an elegant 58.5 inches tall while measuring only 18 inches wide, its unusually slender proportions deliver wonderful vertical drama while requiring very little wall space. The narrow rectangular mirror is surrounded by an intricately ornamented gilt frame, crowned by an exuberant pierced crest of scrolling foliate forms, delicate floral details and sweeping curves. Coordinating pierced ornamentation continues along the lower corners and base, finishing in a graceful central pendant. The result is unapologetically decorative, yet the long, restrained silhouette keeps the piece remarkably compact and elegant. Stylistically, the mirror draws beautifully from Baroque Rococo and Rococo Revival traditions, with the kind of romantic European ornamentation that also found renewed favor in later Hollywood Regency interiors. Rather than reserving it for a heavily traditional room, we particularly love the contrast of its aged gold finish against clean architectural forms, dark woods or painted black furniture. Sometimes an ornate antique becomes even more compelling when everything around it knows when to be quiet. And that narrow 18-inch width is a decorating gift. It can bring height and reflected light to places where a conventional large mirror simply wont work—between windows, beside a doorway, over a narrow console, along a hallway, in a petite foyer, dressing room, bedroom or tucked into an architectural niche. The reverse retains its older backing, original-style hanging hardware and a wonderful surviving typewritten instruction label specifying proper installation using the two rear hangers. The reverse is also marked “8636-GB.” We have not attributed that number to a particular maker, so it is presented simply as an identifying vintage production/model marking. Measurements: 58.5H × 18W. Great vintage condition A wonderfully decorative vintage mirror for the collector who wants height, character and old-world ornament without surrendering an entire wall to get it. Livable heirloom, indeed. ✨ $395 CASH FIRM CASH ONLY. PICK UP IN ARLINGTON. Darling Antique White Crib Daybed that was converted to a seat. Weve had it in a window nook for a window seat, reading spot. I purchased it from an antique shop in Woodinville. It has a custom cushion and nice paisley fabric dust ruffle and coverlet. Pillows can be used to accent and form a soft back if wanted. Used sparingly mostly for decoration and in good condition, metal is very strong and sturdy. Though we have not used it much, it is very functional and strong and can be sat on. The white metal has scratches and nicks as it was when I purchased it, but could be repainted or used as is.... Custom cushions are very expensive and this one is in good clean condition. The bed comes apart easily to make transporting it fairly simple. Dimensions: About 50 Long, 23 1/2 Wide, Seat is 12 Tall off the ground and Cushion is about 4 Tall, so about 16 Tall off of the ground. PET/SMOKE FREE HOME Thank you for looking!
