Hey you! Person! (and your cat or dog thats sitting on your lap and/or watching you poop while you play on your phone)! Do you like dressers? If so, then youre in luck, dude, or dudette!....(not sure why I suddenly returned to the mid-90s on that one, but I digress....yes, ALREADY) 😆 Thats right, folks, buckle up, as this posting shall be a gem, so to speak. A diamond-in-the-rough (just like Aladdin--which is also something from the 90s, as it twere--but I digress from my digression [is that even allowed?!]). Yes, lets start over! How would you like to own a classic clothing and trinket storage unit and corresponding bedroom set that has been long-ago hand-fashioned by a human, using the artfully-manipulated corpses of a murdered tree or two? So basically, a wooden dresser, (actually, two), with a nightstand, and even a mirror and hutch for one of the dressers too (with Hutch, of course, also being a toy football brand from--you guessed it--the 90s, but we wont get into that type of time-based observation just yet [remember, we started over, so its as if the slate was wiped clean and I never mentioned the 90s yet, mind you])! So, I ask you: Would you like to know something kind of cool about this full dresser/bedroom set, Mr./Mrs. Prospective-hander-over-of-monies-to-me? This is a Bennington Pine 1976 line bedroom set, which was, indeed, purchased in 1976 by my parents for their new life, following their wedding* (*which is allegedly how people used to do it back in the day, by the way, is theyd legally and religiously tie the knot so to speak, in a church and/or courthouse, prior to cohabitating in the same abode as each other [its ok though, Im not judging you if youre not married to YOUR whoever---in fact, IM currently living in sin as well, but its been like a 15-years-in-a-row-committed-sin which, in my opinion, is much, much better than like an, I just met you at a bar and I insincerely wooed you into doing the no-no moves with me out in one of our cars before we both (inadvisably) drove to our own separate homes, never to see each other again, type sin (Wait, did I just digress again??) But yes, basically, to make a metaphor out of this mish-mash of thoughts, YOUR current bedroom furniture is likely of a quality most akin to the aforementioned quasi-legal public rendezvous in a parked vehicle behind a bar (ie trashy), whereas THIS furniture Im trying to sell you is more like a gen-u-ine marriage--or at LEAST a dude lovingly shacking up with his gf for 15 years (without even a legal contract forcing them to stay together--just sayin, everyone, thats commitment, yo! [maybe even moreso than your marriage...again, just sayin]). So you should buy this! But oh yes, speaking of marriages again, heres something even more historic about these pretty-much antique pieces of furniture!: I just realized that, given the purchase date of this dresser in regards to the timeframe of when I came into existence, theres an almost guaranteed chance that this bedroom set has seen my parents bang. Like... multiple times. Like....EVERY time. Like, the three whole times it took them to have their three kids before throwing in the old coital-towel and preparing to enter the 1990s with their new family (which they made with their groins, and religiously-ordained love, right in front of this beautiful bedroom set). So, at this point, I think itd also be accurate to describe this bedroom set is somewhat innocent as well, given that it hasnt even seen all THAT much, ya know? I mean, not only did my parents only bang precisely three times, but I feel like people did it with the lights off back then anyway, so they probably saw even less than youre thinking. Who knows, maybe the dressers and bedroom set were even sleeping at that point and didnt see ANYTHING, right? I dont know--Im not a dresser--but I imagine they dont have too good of eyesight either, so I wouldnt worry about it too much if I were you. So, if all that weirdness has been kind of turning you off to the idea of buying this stuff, I wouldnt let it bother you, as Im pretty sure no damage has been done! (Ok, so to cleanse your mental pallette, Id like you to think of YOUR mom and dad just standing there together and smiling real quick :) :) ******** Ok, now please briefly picture them doing the smoochy-smoochy-poo-poo in front of THEIR bedroom set furniture too, ok? ******** .....Im sorry, I know that was kind of a dirty trick, but lets face the facts--by you being interested in furniture enough for me to know that I could potentially sell this furniture to you (which, as a necessity, involves me giving details about it) you basically MADE me talk about MY parents in that regard too, so its not exactly like youre innocent in all this either, ya know? But its ok, now were even. So lets all just take a deep breath and cleanse away this standoffishness. Alright, now that were all on the same page and weve all had simialrly disturbing experiences and somehow gotten through it all together and grown closer because of it, I think we should take it down a notch and talk turkey on these pieces of furniture. ......actually, lets not. Just look at the pictures; notice the high quality; notice the dust that we easily wiped off; and ask AI to tell you more about the furniture and why you should buy it, using that brand name from within inside the drawers, Bennington Pine 1976, because honestly, at this point, Im just too exhausted to talk about the furniture. Thats what youve done to me (but Im not pointing any fingers). So, about the furniture, if you dont think its worth what Im asking for, please make me an offer....an offer I cant refuse...(ok now THAT movie line is NOT from the 90s, but moreso from around the time this furniture was made--the 1970s--which is obviously a time when furniture-making skills were, by and large much, much better than peoples movie-making skills were because, my goodness..... The Godfather... Ill tell ya....I felt like I was waiting forever for them to actually get to the point and start the damn thing before I finally realized, Oh wow, this is it. Its almost over. So, basically, its kind of how youre likely feeling about this marketplace ad--except The Godfather was much more boring and expensive to make. OK, see you guys. PS. Give me money!
