American Colonial Revival Cherry Wood & Brass Eight-Drawer Dresser by Kindel, c.1950s Condition: Original Vintage Condition Price: $1,200 Dimensions: 35.50H x 61W x 22D This 1950s Kindel eight-drawer dresser exemplifies American Colonial Revival design with its warm cherry wood construction, balanced proportions, traditional bracket feet, and period brass hardware. The richly figured drawer fronts add visual depth, while the molded case and restrained carved details reflect Kindels interpretation of traditional American furniture forms. The piece retains its original vintage character and has been carefully inspected by our Los Angeles studio, including ensuring that all eight drawers operate smoothly and the construction remains stable and functional. A fresh wax finish was applied to nourish and protect the wood while enhancing its natural warmth and grain. The result preserves the dressers vintage integrity while presenting it as a handsome and highly functional storage piece. Fun Historical Fact Kindel Furniture Company has deep roots in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a city historically recognized as one of Americas most important furniture-manufacturing centers. Kindel became known for finely crafted furniture inspired by traditional American and European forms, making the company particularly well suited to the Colonial Revival aesthetic. During the mid-20th century, Colonial Revival furniture continued to draw upon 18th-century details such as bracket feet, symmetrical case construction, and decorative brass hardware. Cherry wood was especially well suited to this tradition because its warm tone and fine grain complemented the refined character of historically inspired American furniture. House of Hampton - platform bed with some front storage. The bed is in great condition and feels very solid. Comes with many wood planks so youll feel very supported - other beds have less wood planks. Also, the wood planks by design have been treated and have a curve so when you put your mattress onto it the mattress is less likely to sag. Pick-up and cash only.
