This lens requires camera body to have the focus motor built-in the body...cameras such as D 90,D 100,D 2 h,D 7000 series, D 600,D 700,D 800,D 3-4-5...etc...cameras such as D 3000, D 40, D 3000, D 5000 series require lenses with focus motor built in the lensAF-S Series...lens can be used manually but AF feature will not work!
