Chest - Circa 1880? - Knapp Joints - Square Nails - This chest has a natural-light finish. - It features a slightly stepped or overhung top section, paneled sides, and clear drawer pulls. - This 3-drawer Chest measures about 30-1/2 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 30 inches high. - The Knapp Joint (also known as a pin-and-scallop, pin-and-cove, or half-moon joint) is a distinct type of antique drawer joinery. Patented by Charles Knapp in 1867, it was the first machine-made drawer joint and was predominantly used in American furniture between 1871 and 1900. =============== _This type of drawer joinery is a dead giveaway that this piece was made in North America between 1870-1900. These are “pin-and-cove” or “Knapp” joints, and finding them on your drawers is a guarantee that you’re looking at a genuine antique. This construction type is nearly impossible to replicate since the machinery used to make it has been obsolete for over a century. Also known as a pin-and-scallop, or scallop-and-dowel joint, this was a Victorian-era innovation that was only used for about 30 years. They were a clever alternative to time-consuming, hand-cut dovetails, and became especially popular from the 1870s through the early 1900s—making them a great clue when you’re trying to date a piece of furniture._ -insight and verbiage by Rebecca Taylor (furniture refinisher) =============== - Date of manufacture: Late-1800s (estimate). Did you notice that square nails were used? [Square nails] were largely phased out for everyday construction in the 1890s when modern round wire nails were invented. - Drawers: The drawers slide easily. The lock hardware is present; however, there is no key. The interior dimension of each drawer measures 24 x 11-3/4 x 5-1/2. - Please study the photos carefully. - What questions do you have? - Local pickup only (Mishawaka, Indiana). - Cash only. Thank you. To your prosperity...

CASH ONLY AND NO OTHER PAYMENTS UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO TRADE. Because whatever I’m able to get for it will be going towards the payment of one of two things exactly one being a payment for an another recliner basically a type of recliner that I’m mostly looking for is the type that has built in Bluetooth speakers and yes the type of built in Bluetooth speakers are the type that I can connect to my multimedia area tv since that’s the area that I’m trying to transform my living room area into exactly. But if I can’t find the right type of recliner setup exactly then I’ll just end up putting that money towards some other expenses that I’m currently dealing with exactly. And also since I’m currently dealing with some money issues since I’m currently jobless I probably end up putting the money into some other expenses exactly since I’m currently jobless exactly. Plus whatever I’m able to sell it for exactly needs to be enough to pay for an another recliner that I can use that would go with a look that I’m trying to go with exactly for the living room area of my apartment exactly which is a multimedia area instead of just a living room area exactly. Also I’m sorry in advance for the crazy price change exactly I’m just trying to get as much money as I can to pay for one of two things exactly and the first thing being a payment for an another recliner that would go better for the multimedia area look instead or to help pay for some other expenses that I’m currently dealing with exactly since I’m currently jobless. Also I will admit that the only reason why I did have it listed for $190.00 was because it was supposed to be for an another recliner that I managed to find exactly on Facebook Marketplace but since that one ended up getting sold and was the only one that I could find exactly that was also local and not located in a another state exactly. Unlike what other type of recliner that I manage to find before I found the one that was located in same state as I am located in exactly which is in Oklahoma exactly. Plus since I can’t drive legally myself because of my disability I have to try and stay somewhat local basically here in Oklahoma exactly because I know for a fact that nobody that I would be able to find to help me out with the transportation part exactly isn’t willing to drive however far away that other recliner that I might be able to find exactly that would good with the type of look that I’m wanting to go with exactly which is a type of multimedia area instead of just a living room area exactly. The grey recliner shown is the Signature Design by Ashley Status Check Rocker Recliner (Model PC6530725).Standard DimensionsThe overall dimensions for this manual rocker recliner are as follows:Width: 44.0 inchesHeight: 42.0 inchesDepth: 43.0 inchesKey SpecificationsWeight: 130.0 lbsConstruction: Steel to the floor construction with a steel seat box and floor rails.Support: Heavy gauge sinuous springs and reinforced floor glides.Operation: Features a smooth one-pull manual reclining motion.Material: Shadow-colored faux leather (blend of 97% polyester and 3% polyurethane).
