Very Rare Collectible Dazzling campaign multipurpose Side / display table / small coffee table / Nightstand , one drawer chest Oxford Square Collection by John Van Koert for Drexel. This Gorgeous piece has all of the bells and whistles, and it is made to impress! Mid-century esthetic with a dash of refined old world classic elegance! The overall look of the piece is very British, c. 19th c. It was actually made in America in the 1970s, but has built in age, character and patina. The double X-base appears to be aged brass. It is, in fact, gilt wood that has been finished, very realistically, to look like patinated brass. The body of the chest is pecan with a beautiful parquetry design and has been finished and distressed to look like its travelled many miles over a century or two. Lots of character and charm in this amazingly detailed versatile piece. The beautiful marquetary decoration is applied on the top, sides, front and back. Dovetail drawer with two patinated brass pulls. This ones a show stopper! Great vintage condition. Very light surface scratches. An Amazing find to add to your decor.
