Rare TV Canon 50mm f0.95 Dream Lens Leica M Conversion

Legendary Canon 50mm F 0.95 Lens - Converted for Leica M with 6-bit coding and added Leica RF Coupling. Fantastic condition especially for its age. Glass is very clean with no haze or fungus. This is the extremely rare TV version which was made specifically for television. Ive worked quite a bit in Japan and spent a lot of time learning much of the history and lore that the Japanese film community keeps about the vintage film era and anecdotally these lenses were special ordered for the Television industry for a special TV look. The TV lenses actually were not rangefinder coupled originally, so this lens has an EXTREMELY rare M mount conversion WITH 6-bit encoding WITH a donor Leica helicoid to allow for proper rangefinder. Many Canon 50mm Dream lenses have been converted to M with varying aesthetics, but I have only seen two TV Dream versions converted with RF coupling in my life of collecting. These Canon lenses are so popular in the cine community. Ive owned the Canon 35mm 1.5, the 50mm 1.2, and 50mm 1.4 over the years, and the dream lens is the last one I kept and shot 99% of the time. Ive loved and used this lens for years shooting it on travel (hobby) around the world. It has a charming and timeless look that new stuff just cant recreate. Ive shot this on both Leica M10-R and a Leica M3 without any issues focusing. The lens has a heavier, and longer focus throw than modern lenses. It creates a flare that is so beautiful an organic. I will miss this lens dearly, but it has honestly sat in my dry cabinet for the last year as my travelling has cooled off and I sold my M10-R (Ive been mostly shooting medium format lately). I would love for this lens to go to a good home. This is one of those unicorns you find only once in a long, long while, especially locally.
