APC Lithium UPS - SMTL2200RM2UC
These are still sold new for ~$2500-ish (or a ridiculous $3875+ on the manufacturer site— Amazon is even worse!). Extra battery packs are still expensive even lightly used like this one (~$1800 it seems— not a lot of options used as no one should really even need one yet). Unlike older lead-acid UPS these newer lithium ones have a much longer battery life— supposedly these LiFePO4 are like 10-15 years (APC says 8-10) vs. 3-5 (Id normally get 5-6 out of them). This was only in service for bit over 3 years and the replacement battery used maybe 6 months. Was planning on rotating them but never got to that point— but that should make both packs last longer. Unused since May 2025 but both batteries still had 97-98% charge when I recently plugged them in to check charge status / recharge. - - - NOT to be confused with the *very similar* model number of SMT2200RM2UC. Google insists on correcting the accurate SMTL2200RM2UC model number with that incorrect model number that is lacking the L. As far as I can tell that L-less model is an older lead-acid model with the older style black faceplate. UPS has already been removed / forgotten on my APC account. I balked at that SmartConnect subscription at first (I just did Standard) but it ended up more useful and consistently working than the embedded web interface with STMP server in the older lead-acid APC units. It also has the unoccupied SmartSlot to install the other more advanced monitoring cards that add more features. There are also available temp and humidity sensors. Includes the rack shelf thing as well but I seem to have lost the hardware (pretty sure it is just regular rack screws). The rails/shelf was included with the unit but kinda ridiculously priced on its own! This requires a 20A outlet. All detailed specs can be found on the APC/Schneider website. - - - I understand the local market is probably pretty limited on such things but they are also kinda a hassle to get to Alaska to begin with— being heavy and lithium. Main unit and (1) battery has only been used 1/3rd the manufacturer stated lifetime. Second battery used even less— and they should definitely surpass that stated lifetime with proper care and rotating out the batteries (just to keep them both used and not have any drain until dead sitting on a shelf). Not really sure on pricing but the cheaper new value of the main unit + battery is $2500 plus extra battery at $1800 (basically the only used battery pack value I found) is $4300 combined. 1/3rd of that is $1432 (I figure 3 years use so minus 1/3rd value?) and $4300 with that third knocked off is $2868. Ill say $2600 for the dork reasons— but open to offers. I will NOT ship (or even Goldstreak) because of the weight— but could *maybe* drive down to the Anchorage area.
