A vintage highboy chest by Lane Furniture. The Lane Furniture Company was founded in Altavista, VA in 1912. For decades they were known for their cedar chests. Later they moved into the household furniture market with all types of bedroom, dining room and office pieces. This highboy chest by Lane Furniture has, so far, defied all of my attempts to identify the name of the line it came from. It is clearly marked on back as Model 610-11. So far, I have been unable to identify the name of their 610 line. At any rate, we can see it was made on November 7, 1977. This is a beautifully done 5 drawer highboy chest with a 1970s brutalist style. The wood veneer is probably walnut. It sits on a plinth base. It is very sturdy and fairly heavy. It measures 35 inches wide by 17 ½ deep by 48 ¼ high. This piece is in very good vintage condition. It has been well taken care of. It has been oiled lightly to relieve it form the Colorado dryness. It can be seen and purchased at the address in the listing. Delivery is available.

Used Carnival Amusement~Ball Toss/Cat Rack Game~Knock Down~12 Clown Punk This punk is a part of a vintage Carnival Amusement Ball Toss or Cat Rack Knock Down game from the 1960s to early 1970s and were from a local traveling carnival. They are called Punks, clowns or cats, but these are painted to look like Clown Punks and they are in very good condition for their age. It is made of canvas with the pictures painted on both sides and are nailed to a piece of wood for the base. It also has a piece of leather nailed around the bottom. It is the larger punk and measures approximately 12 tall and 14 to the top of the hair and 6.5 wide or 11 wide from both sides of the hair. I believe this was stuffed with straw or sawdust. This buffet, dining table, and 5 side chairs and 1 captains chair is the Jacobean style that was popular in the 1930 s. The table top has been refinished and the table base and chairs have been refurbished back to their original finish. The chairs have been re-glued and are very sturdy. The chairs have an ornate look to them with the different woods used in the backs. The table has a hidden 12 leaf that folds down inside the table as you can see in the pictures, The table measures 60 long x 40 wide x 31.5 high. With the 12 leaf popped up it extends the table to 72 long. The side chair seats are 18.5 wide and the chair seat is 19 high. The backs are 39 high. The captains chair is seat is 23 wide and 19 high and the back is 39 high. The buffet measures 66 wide x 20 deep x 38 high. This is a very unique set that is now ready for a new home.
