This is for a truly serious collector! Beautiful walnut Danish style modern bench seat. There are NONE of these currently for sale anywhere that Ive looked. Last was about 7 yrs ago. I researched Calvin (located in Grand Rapids Mich) extensively. They were open 1953-1973. Very little info is available online about company nor from the Grand Rapids Historical Society. Many records were lost or burned in a fire. It is known that Paul McCobb & Kipp Stewart worked there. I couldnt find any other designers who worked there. The GRHS suspect this bench seat was designed by Stewart but there is no verification. I recently had an online appraisal from an appraiser who works for Antiques Roadshow. She est. that a reasonable asking price is $800-$1000!! This is due to condition & the rarity of what she called a window seat which is much rarer than a dining room chair. This also was w/o an attribution to a specific designer. It is appx: 27 H: 26 W : 18. D. Seat Height: 18 in. This must be cash, zelle, or paypal only & pickup only in Providence RI as shipping is exorbitant. I will consider an extremely REASONABLE offer, NO LOWBALLING.
