It is unlocked, and all drawers work perfectly. I have extra dividers to go with it, so you can put your file folders vertically or horizontally. I do not have the key to lock it. If you don’t need to lock it, you are fine; if you do, you can easily get a key from Home Depot or online. I am pricing this to sell.
