Compared to their American and European counterparts, these pianos were a tremendous value. In addition to their adoption by savvy players, they started making their way into music institutions, schools, churches, and private teaching studios. Yamaha continued to develop and improve these two lines, branching them out into what is now the CX and GC models. The GC line has retained more of the features of the highly successful original C series. The company has been able to keep production costs under control to make this, in our opinion, Yamaha’s best combination of price/performance.
