They have very good karma, these chairs, because they served in a Montessori classroom in the 60s. They were birch wood before we painted them with Rustoleum. They have always been indoors but should they be left outside they will have good protection. Lots of hearts big and small are hand painted on the ladderbacks. The seats are slatted for a well aired tushy. Looking really fabulous! No gouges, no nicks, no wobble, nothing to repair. Comes from a non-smoking home with no pets and our kids have grownup.
