Paris-born artist Jean-Pierre Weill was raised in New York, where he studied and perfected his technique and form at the School of Visual Arts. Aside from his multi-dimensional oil canvas paintings, he is best known for innovating a new art form called vitreography: by painting arrangements across layered sheets of glass, he created three-dimensional framed art capturing still life arrangements, landscapes, and fanciful, imaginative scenes. His innovation has earned him wide-spread accolade across Israel and the world.

(I also think I have an unframed print by the artist as well) Claude Grosperrin (1939-1977) was a French Impressionist who painted during the middle of the 20th century. His interest in lithography began during his studies at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in the atelier of Brianchon. There he developed a love of the process, and soon his work caught on in local galleries. After some one-man exhibits in London and New York, Grosperrin received international attention. The city of Paris is known as one of the purchasers of his oils and lithographs. Grosperrin holds many of the most esteemed awards for a young artist, including Prix Forman, Medaille dOr Taverny, and Salon du Jeu de Paume, Versaille. Some shadows in the pics, sorry about that!
