Framed batik artwork by artist Louise Lou Wilson, composed of three individual nature scenes arranged vertically within a single frame. The compositions depict a bird in flight above an abstract landscape, a forested mountain scene, and birds among dense vegetation.Created in the batik technique, a wax-resist process in which areas of fabric are selectively protected with wax before dyes are applied. The process produces layered color, irregular veining, and distinctive crackled patterns visible throughout these compositions. The three works share a warm earth-tone palette of brown, ochre, tan, cream, and black. Wilson combines recognizable wildlife and landscape imagery with flowing abstract forms and textural patterns created through the batik process. The lower composition is signed Lou Wilson at the lower right. All three works are presented together under glass with individual brown mat borders, a larger neutral mat, and a narrow wood-toned frame. The tall vertical format allows the three related compositions to read as a single coordinated artwork. Condition as pictured. Please review photographs for details. Dimensions approx: 20.7W, 49.5L,1.8thick

Hello Everyone, I can no longer receive Craigslist emails, my contact information is written below**. Thanks. The gesso work on this frame is extraordinary in my opinion. One each corner a floral bouquet in the style of the recent exposition in Paris in 1925. The base of the bouquet becomes a striking, delicate pattern encircling the rectangular mirror edges. Gesso is in excellent condition, hard to believe for it’s many years. Another way I’m dating this is that the mirror itself was cut in a “chipping” manner on the edges (concealed under the frame. This is a method that was almost completely discontinued by 1930. I tried to photograph it but my camera isn’t good enough. Hanger on reverse. The mirror itself has only a very slight “ghosting” and is practically as clear as when new. It measures 27 1/2 inches tall x 15 1/2 inches wide. For a quick reply Please CALL OR TEXT me at ** seven o seven, seven nine six, three two nine two. Located in West Petaluma. Cash only please. Thanks
