Captain’s chairs. Sturdy. Honest. Built with the unhurried precision of an era that still believed a dining chair ought to outlast its owner. They don’t make turnings like that anymore, the old craftsman told us, running a calloused palm over the contoured saddle seat. He wasnt wrong. The sweeping crest rail, the warm nutmeg finish, the solid spindles anchor a room the moment you set them down. We bought every last one on the spot and immediately commissioned our own run for the catalog. Paired with a slick, white pedestal table, they strike that elusive balance between old-world heritage and modern studio living. The kind of chairs that hold court during late-night debates over vintage cognac or simple Sunday espresso. Up for sale is a set of four vintage 80s spindle-back captains dining chairs along with an IKEA DOCKSTA white tulip pedestal table. Available as a complete dining set or separately! Condition: Very good used condition for both the table and chairs. Sturdy, solid construction with clean surfaces and good finish. The Chairs: Vintage 80s done in a classic antique Colonial / Windsor press-back captains style with warm, medium-brown wood tones, contoured seats, and detailed spindle turnings.
