The cushions are full and plush, and they have more weight to them than most modern cushions do - this makes it very comfortable all around. It’s made out of sturdy material, and it has attached feet as opposed to bolt or screw on feet. The lady who owned it had a pristine house, which explains the good and clean condition of the couch. This is NOT an air conditioner, but it will cool down a small room. It uses chilled water and a fan to reduce the temperature in a room quickly. Can be especially helpful in a room with direct afternoon sun. Engineers call this evaporative cooling. Approximately a quart of water (preferably chilled water) is placed in a small tank at the bottom of the unit. You can also put blue ice in the tank to further chill the water. That water is pumped to the top of the unit and then flows downward back to the tank. During that trip the chilled water cools air which is blown into the room. This cooling process is repeated over and over to cool the room down. This air cooler is also great for personal cooling while sitting outside on a patio, or at poolside. This cooling process really works and is very economical. Two reusable blue ice containers are included. Simply place them in your freezer overnight, and they are ready to cool you down. Were you to buy this air cooler new, it would cost you $80; so $20 for a nearly new cooler is a great deal!
