Antique 1960 Hand Carved FISHERMAN Wood Knife from Native Land
My parents left England and traveled to Australia for factory work in 1961. Around that time, they stopped on different islands, etc. Just found 2 knives in old drawer. I recall these on display from about 1969. Sorry, I do know more about exact origins. Just have 8mm quick faded film of them with real native tribe. This wooden knife is a two-tone color finish. Brown/gold? It has an octopus head-fish body handle with unique colored eyes. Blade measures 5 inches long. Also has ‘hook’ in handle. Whole knife length is 7.5 inches. See picture.
