These original design custom pieces are made from 150 yrs. old+ barn wood. They fit the Primitive style, minimalism, as well as the Japanese style of Wabi Sabi. [roughly meaning Perfectly imperfect ] and others. $395 cash for the pair. *single piece orders are also available. DM me direct for pricing. One pine ,one hemlock. Each measures 12 x 12 x 12,about the size of a large stack of books.. The planks are 1 3/4 thick. The pieces are assembled without nails or screws. the two wedges lock everything in place and can be removed to break them down or for possible shipping. Each one is unique because i build them around the grain structure and imperfections of the old wood. They are then charred black with flame and oiled multiple times. This is an ancient Japanese finishing method called Shou Sugi Ban The result is a surface that looks 500 years old and will last another 500.
