IKEA Poang chair: $180 $80 firm, cash. IKEA calls this colorway black-brown/knissa light beige. As beiges go, though, its more of a grey. (Which is nice.) Save yourself about $80 over the new price, plus save yourself a trip to Round Rock (slogan: “We could have just said ‘Pebble.’”). Layer-glued bent oak gives comfortable resilience. Be part of the resilience, just like Luke Skywalker’s shy friends. Designed by Noboru Nakamura! How often do you get to have an original Nakamura piece for less than the price of a fancy Valentine’s meal? Why can’t you just cook a nice steak (or Tofurky, if you want) at home? You could make things even better on yourself with an ottoman, which Mr. Ikea himself will sell you for about $80. Or adapt something else, like an ottoman you already have, or a slow-moving pet. Small mark (you can see the edge of it, and that its inconspicuous) on the upper right of the cushions back.
