These chairs have panache. They have drama. They are like that 80-year-old gentleman with the slight Italian accent who still works the tables down at the steakhouse he opened in 1957, greeting customers, ensuring everyones wine glass is full, and wearing a sharp sport coat, an ascot, and his fathers vintage gold watch. They are the furniture equivalent of a legendary opera diva who still commands the entire room the second she walks through the door, draped in vintage velvet and outsized reputation. Make no mistake. These chairs are not for just anyone. The challenge is clear, should you choose to accept it. Bring all your design and vision to bear and make these legends shine. Just remove the seat from underneath and fold and staple the new fabric on. The overall finish is good. There are a few spots with some scuffs that can be filled in with a tinted oil if you want but they barely show. There is one spot where one of the spindles on the back has broken. Its been repaired with a metal clip. If I have a chance Im probably going to glue and repair it better but its solid for now. It could be repaired in a number of different ways.
