HD Trailer Maintenance Technician – HD Trailer Repair We’re looking for a mid to senior level trailer technician to join our in-house shop team working on heavy-duty trailers, fleet equipment, and support vehicles. This is a hands-on role focused on structural and mechanical trailer repair and maintenance in a real working fleet shop environment. Core Work Includes: • Trailer structural repairs (posts, wall sheets, rails, crossmembers) • Welding and metal fabrication (steel + aluminum) • Huck riveting and structural fastening • Suspension repairs (air ride, bushings, hangers, airbags, levelers) • Air systems and brake repairs • Electrical diagnostics and wiring • Axles, seals, brakes, hubs, and tires • Door frame welding and rear door repairs • General rebuilds and damage repairs (fleet + insurance work) Requirements: • Must be able to weld and perform structural metal repairs (weld test required) • Experience with HD trucks or trailers required • This is not an entry-level position • Some training available, but candidates should demonstrate prior HD trailer repair experience • Working knowledge of air and electrical systems • Ability to mount tires and perform brake/wheel-end maintenance • Able to take direction and work independently or with a small team • Willing to participate in shop cleaning and general housekeeping • Self-motivated and solution-oriented • Comfortable in a real shop environment (not flat-rate dealership pace) • Clean DMV preferred (must be insurable for occasional service calls) Ideal Background: • Walking floors, belts, end dumps, vans, ag trailers • Hydraulic and structural repair experience • Fleet shop or mobile repair background • Fabrication and rebuild experience Pay: • $20–$28/hr DOE • Year-round steady weekday shop work • Growth opportunity for experienced techs To Apply: Email us with: • Your experience level • Years in trailer or HD repair • Types of equipment you’ve worked on • Welding/fabrication background • Experience with tires, brakes, seals, and wheel ends We will review submissions and contact selected candidates for an application, interview, and weld test.
