I’m just the second owner of this stunning and RARE Adrian Pearsall by Craft Associates atomic-age vibes rocking chair from the 1960s MATERIALS - Original black vinyl fabric (though cracked in various places) - Gorgeous solid heavy walnut base. - The seat itself is foam covered curved plywood from my research CONDITION: Previous owner had it in storage and the wood has quite a few scuffs and paint marks, which have been there since I bought it in 2020. I am cleaning them off, and it already looks better than in these pictures. This sturdy mid century masterpiece can be reupholstered to suit your aesthetic. Good Wood gave me a list of re-uphosterers that they use a few years ago. Or do what I did, which is cover it with a throw blanket or sheepskin and let it be a showpiece for visitors. AUTHENTICITY: This is a 100% authentic piece, without question, even the screws are vintage. Very, very few of this model are available for sale online right now (if any), most of them reupholstered in ugly fabric or going for a few thousand more. Model is 812-CR if you want to look it up. Adrian Pearsalls son will give you a certificate of authenticity for $250. I’m not in a rush to sell so not really considering offers at this time. Thank you for understanding. HISTORY OF THE DESIGNER / MAKER: Adrian Pearsall was a prolific designer, who primarily worked for Craft Associates. Although some items were mass produced (relatively speaking), he also did custom work. Therefore there are quite a few variations of his designs.
