Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and installation plans. Measure, mark, and prepare sites for cabinet, countertop, and millwork installation. Install custom casework, fixtures, trim, wall panels, and solid surface countertops according to specifications. Secure cabinets and millwork using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners to ensure structural stability and alignment. Adjust and level installed components for proper function, fit, and finish. Collaborate with project managers, job foremen, and other trades (electricians, plumbers, painters) to ensure efficient workflow. Inspect existing installations and perform necessary modifications or repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Load, transport, and unload materials and finished products safely to and from job sites. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: 2+ years in commercial cabinet, countertop, or millwork installation (apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred). Abilities: Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, joinery, and finishing methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project drawings. Knowledge of materials such as laminate, veneer, solid surface (e.g., Corian), and hardwoods. Skilled with hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, routers, levels, etc.). Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely. Soft skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities. License: Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites as needed. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), and working in various site conditions. Comfort working from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
