You are currently looking at an Epiphone Les Paul Special bass with a transparent black flame maple top. I cover pretty much everything one could think of below, so please read carefully. Correspondence is going to be by email ONLY at first, no exceptions. Please do not ask me to call or text. Sorry for all of that, but years of CL use has unfortunately shown me it has to be that way. Onto the good stuff: These are criminally underrated basses. I’ve had a couple of them, and I actually find them superior to the Gibson Les Pauls for a number of reasons, one of which is the pickups, as they’ve very Thunderbird-like. Then there’s the placement of the neck pickup. It’s closer to the neck than the Gibsons, and it has a little more woof as a result. But then there’s that bridge pickup. It’s full-on Jazz in its sound, but has a more powerful midrange. Despite the fretboard being rosewood and the humbuckers, it’s not super dark-sounding. Not harshly bright either, just very articulate and focused. You can really dial in pretty much anything you’re looking for. The tonal versatility is remarkable, and I have found the pots on this bass to be especially sensitive to input, which is incredible considering it’s an import. That’s the crazy thing about Epiphones—they often outperform the Gibson counterpart. In the interest of full disclosure, the tone pot is a little stiffer than the volume pots, but not in a bad way; it isnt scratchy or compromised. It’s also an incredibly comfortable bass. Just the right weight (between 8-9 lbs), and despite the smaller body, no neck dive. It just hangs very naturally when worn. The neck is super stable and I’ve only had to adjust the truss rod 1/4 turn once the entire time I’ve owned it. The frets are in excellent shape, and the fingerboard is properly hydrated. As I do with all my basses, I’ve added a Hipshot Bass Extender. This allows you to go from E to drop D (even as low as B if you want) with the simple flip of a lever. Once you’ve had that on a bass, you will never want to be without it again. Oh, and the bridge! None of that 3-point nonsense. Epiphone outfitted these with a proper, high-mass bridge that’ll allow for individual string height and intonation adjustment, with Allen screws that lock down the saddles. It was very recently strung with D’Addarios, 45-105. This bass is in excellent shape and has wear typical wear of an instrument this age, but even that is negligible. I tried to capture any finish imperfections, but it was difficult because it’s super glossy. The bass is sold with the pictured gig bag and a guitar hanger that allows it to be hung from a closet pole. I am selling this bass for $300 FIRM. The Hipshot alone was $100 and Ill include the stock tuning machine that it replaced. Offers for less will not get a response from me. If you find one in this condition cheaper, by all means buy it. This is a really fantastic vintage Gibson acoustic, with the coveted Only a Gibson is Good Enough banner on the headstock. NOT a reissue! Made in the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI, probably by the famous Gibson Girls - women who worked there during WWII because the men were out fighting. Its in beautiful condition and comes in its original hardshell case. Condition details: it has had a recent neck reset, and the bridge had to be replaced at the same time because the original had been shaved down too much. The new bridge is Brazilian rosewood, and matches the fingerboard well. There is one side crack which was so well repaired that you really have to look for it. I believe the top was oversprayed at some point. Tuners are replacement Golden Age Restoration tuners from Stewmac. They are similar in appearance to the originals and actually work better. Frets are in great shape, no pitting of the fretboard, and the action is nice and low. The neck is chunky, but not a baseball bat like on some vintage Gibsons. There is a truss rod and it works well (very rare for wartime Gibson acoustics!). As you can see from the photos, however, it looks great overall! Theres some finish checking, and a few scratches and dings. Plays easily, and the tone is out of this world. I wont try to describe it any more than that - come check it out for yourself! This Les Paul Special from 2023 is in excellent condition. I have swapped the stock tailpiece with an intonation compensated tailpiece from Mojoaxe, which looks basically the same as the stock tailpiece but really improved the intonation up and down the fretboard. The original Gibson tailpiece is included as well. Pickups and everything else are stock. Gibson got it right with these P90s, they have great character clean or with gain. The mahogany wood grain shows up beautifully on the TV yellow finish. Rosewood fingerboard is nice and dark. Neck carve is just right, exactly what a Les Paul should feel like. Original hard case in great shape. Not really much of a scratch or flaw on the guitar or as far as I can see, though it has been played. The guitar weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces. $1000

Condition: Excellent – free of any structural defects; cosmetically, minor traces of prior use can be detected (see images). Fittings: original ebony fingerboard, pegs, and endpin; ultralight composite integrated tailpiece. Case: better quality ultralight case, foam core, in very good, gently used condition -- with two backpack-style straps and violin blanket. ACCESSORIES: bow, shoulder rest, and rosin offered separately. Please see below. This is the intermediate-to-advanced viola by Suzuki Violin Co. of Nagoya: Model No. 25. It ranks above Suzukis beginner No. 1 an intermediate No. 2 models and represents a major step up in terms of wood selection, workmanship, and sound quality. This gorgeous instrument is fully handmade -- in Japan and for Japan. It fashions thoroughly seasoned and carefully selected wood materials: Ezo Spruce with an impressively regular grain for the top and flamed Maple for the back and ribs. The viola is hand varnished, with multiple layers applied, and artfully shaded. The craftsmanship is flawless and the instrument is a beauty to behold. The sound is warm and radiant, with complex overtones and resonance and a good balance across the entire range. It would offer a rewarding experience to the skilled player. The instrument is in excellent pre-owned condition. There are no cracks, repairs, or seam separations. Traces of prior handling are minor. Anticipating the question, the tiny dot on the upper left bout and vertical lines on the back are not defects – they are wood character showing through the varnish. The viola is equipped with an ultralight composite tailpiece with four fine tuners. (If you prefer a traditional Ebony tailpiece with one fine tuner on the A string, please let me know, and I can make the change at no extra cost.) A brand new Alphayue AL200 set by Thomastik-Infeld, Austria is installed (retails for $65 on Amazon). This is the opportunity to own this excellent viola for a fraction of the price that a similar instrument would be offered for at a professional string shop.
