Paint Your Wagon (1969)

A raucous western comedy musical (Im being VERY GENEROUS by calling it a musical), Paint Your Wagon is punctuated with a classic Lerner and Loewe musical score, including They Call the Wind Maria and I Talk to the Trees. And how could anyone not like a movie where some guy talks to trees? (That said, Clint Eastwood doesnt really talk to the trees, thats just the songs title.) This movie is the story of a gold mining boomtown full of brawny (and not-so-brawny) men, which centers on the work-and-play partnership of Ben and Pardner (Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood). Oh, and the delicate wife they share (Jean Seberg). Cant believe I just said share; but yeah, they share...youll just have to watch the movie. Technical: Widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs (black bars), Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround sound, English Dolby Surround sound, French mono sound, English subtitles, Region 1, 164 minutes run time.
