Since the bike had an issue where the throttle would cut out sometimes at full throttle, I had the bike serviced for $139 to have the throttle replaced proactively, chain serviced, brakes serviced. For all riding I get too bored using throttle only mode so I always pedal, then use the throttle to start from a stop or coast when close to a destination. Pedal assist setting 4 or 5 was amazing for bike commuting, the commute was 12 round trip miles and the bike would have plenty of charge, but only enough for 1 round trip, so I would plug in every day when getting home and unplug the next morning.
