Rare Design Metal Plate MICH CHAIR CO PATENTED May 18, 1887 There is normal wear for a chair of this age. The Front Legs have loosened over time; and, it appears that there has been a cleaver repair where 1 of the legs joins the railsee photo. The finish is NOT perfect, and the chair may have been refinished or varnished at some time. Provenance: This piano chair came from my Great, Great Grandfathers parlor in Munith, Michigan, Jackson County, 1870 - 1954. The farmhouse is shown in some of the photos.
