Hi! This is a banjo that I built from a New Gold Tone 19 fret 5 String banjo neck. I used a Canadian maple rim with a brass tone ring in it with about twice as much brass in it as a rolled brass tone ring used in a lot of other banjos. I have used this rim in 5 other banjos that I built and worked out well. Its a great banjo for travel or just for someone with shorter arms. It sounds great and plays great. I live near Brinnon on Hood Canal. I have around 30 to 40 banjos. I also have a couple of Uk banjo that are ready to play, so come on up and play them all. This is a new lightweight, beautiful and incredibly hard to find Limited Run Benchmark Edition Les Paul Custom Florentine. It is one of the most beautiful and best sounding instruments I have ever had. The highly figured Antique Natural flamed maple top and wood grained back are stunning. Benchmark Collection instruments were designed as a collaboration between Gibson Select Dealers and the Custom Shop using the finest tone woods and electronics. Benchmark instruments are highly coveted by musicians and collectors. The Les Paul Custom Florentine is a rare and highly sought after instrument from this collaboration. Florentine versions of the Les Paul Custom are semi-hollow with F-holes. They are lightweight incredible guitars, with a lot of versatility and a wide tonal range. You can play almost any musical style with them and they also sound great acoustically. This guitar is part of a very limited run of Benchmark instruments. I have spoken to several collectors and they say its an incredibly hard instrument to find and highly sought after by collectors and musicians. DO NOT underestimate this guitar just because its so affordable. This is truly a real deal Guitar. Designed by Earl Slick in his New York studio.the body is Solid swamp ash. Neck Canadian Hard Rock Maple. Fingerboard is Indian Rosewood. guaranteed tone. It all starts with a wrap-around bridge- machined from a solid billet of BRASS- No finish. Raw. Naked. breathing tone. The knob is a machined brass billet piece as well. Just one volume, but an elongated control cavity so you can add a tone control if you want. The tuners original design, with a bronze crown gear and bronze pinion gear and Solid Brass knob- the result is a tuner with basically NO backlash. Its smooth and very accurate, youll stay in tune. Graphite nut, hand slotted. The tilt-back headstock allows the exact correct string break at the nut for ALL 6 STRINGS, and no string trees mean better tuning stability. Fender-Standard 25 1/2 scale length, a 43mm wide nut and a 12 fretboard radius. The neck has twenty two nickel-silver 6105 profile medium jumbo frets, leveled, crowned and polished. Comes with traditional high quality Black Case This Axe distinguishes itself with the PICKUPS. HAND AGED Tele pickups. We use the SL119 Fullerton Lead in the bridge, and the SLP121 Fullerton neck pickup. These are true authentic vintage pickups- Alnico V sand cast rod magnets, Formvar wire, bridge wound to a STOUT 9.4K and the neck to a Leo-Approved 5.6K. The pickups are not just built from the right stuff, but hand aged- both cosmetically and magnetically. They look like old pickups... they feel like old pickups... they sound like old pickups. The feel and vibe is enhanced and preserved by the completely unique way that the guitar is finished. The solid ash body is NOT wood grain filled. It is NOT sealed. NO Polyurethane fillers. Its raw. sprayed with a single coat of old fashioned automotive paint and sanded back. The pores dont get clogged so the wood can breathe. It works. It sounds better. Louder. Fuller.
