Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation and employment law cases. You will be responsible for assisting in all phases of case preparation, client communication, and administrative coordination to ensure smooth case progression. Responsibilities • Prepare, format, and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence in state and federal courts. • Manage and organize case files (both electronic and physical). • Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and hearing schedules. • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally and promptly. • Conduct basic legal research and draft correspondence and discovery responses as directed. • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination. • Perform administrative tasks such as billing entry, data management, and scheduling meetings. Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, preferably in civil litigation or employment law. • Strong knowledge of California court rules and filing procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software (e.g., MyCase, Clio, or similar). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
