For sale is a very unique working Telephone-Intercom System that was found in many establishments back in the early 1900s. The bell would ring when an outside or room call comes in and the operator would answer and direct the call to the requested room, area or location. The bell rings quite loudly when voltage is applied. Also, when you push the black button next to the bell or push the long hand set button, the bell will stop ringing. The telephone measures about 11 long and the bell measures about 3 dia. and the wood base is about 5 dia. This rare piece of history is located about 7 miles south of the Lynchburg, Va.
