This is a vintage Mavic 501 RD (or closely related 500 RD) small-flange rear hub, dating from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. It features Mavics legendary, buttery-smooth sealed cartridge bearings and is complete with its original vintage Mavic France quick-release skewer. The hub is threaded for a traditional spin-on freewheel (typically accepting up to 6- or 7-speed freewheels depending on the spacer configuration and axle spacing).

Selling my vintage Diamond Back Formula One BMX, built in Japan by Koizumi in late 1983 and likely sold as a 1984 model. I am the original owner and got it new as a kid. It has been stored inside for over 30 years. The frame serial is 3L1008 with the Koizumi factory mark, and the matching fork is stamped 3LT. The bike retains nearly all of its major original components. Confirmed components: - Koizumi\-made Diamond Back Formula One frame - Matching Diamond Back fork - Diamond Back chromoly handlebars - Sugino HP-G4 stem - Sugino CT 175 three-piece crankset - Sugino 44T chainring - Diamond Back Turbo crank caps - Araya Formula-1 rims with surviving decals - Suzue sealed hubs - SunTour XC-II pedals, 9/16 x 20T - Dia-Compe 1000A front and rear calipers - Dia-Compe Tech III levers - Kashimax Five Gold saddle - SR/Sakae seat clamp The tires and grips have been replaced, and the original frame decals were removed years ago. The bike has normal scratches, oxidation, chrome spotting and wear consistent with an unrestored 40-plus-year-old survivor. It has not been rechromed or cosmetically restored. I have detailed photos of the frame serial, matching fork code, component markings, rims, hubs, crankset, brakes, pedals, saddle and handlebars. Local Denver-area pickup preferred but willing to ship if you cover the shipping costs. Serious collectors are welcome to inspect it in person. I am happy to provide additional close-up photos.
