Period: circa 1920s–early 1930s Style: Jacobean / Spanish Revival Material: figured walnut / walnut veneer Finish: original Beautiful matched antique bedroom suite, believed to date to the 1920s or early 1930s. The set is American factory-made furniture in a Jacobean / Spanish Revival style, with highly figured walnut veneers, carved decorative details, turned legs, matching period hardware, and an attractive dark walnut finish. This is an original coordinated suite rather than pieces assembled from different sets. The pieces retain matching factory stencil markings reading 287-8B, along with the individual piece designation such as BED, VANITY, or CHEST. Set includes: - Two matching single/twin beds with headboards, footboards and rails - Tall chest of drawers / highboy - Vanity or dressing table - Large matching framed vanity mirror - Matching vanity stool The furniture retains its original finish and has not been refinished. Overall condition is very good for furniture approximately 100 years old, with normal age-related wear including some scratches, scuffs and small finish imperfections. The figured walnut on the drawer fronts and other panels is especially attractive. The original decorative hardware is present and appears to be matched throughout the suite. Most of the original wooden furniture casters/wheels are also present. One bed is missing its set of wooden casters, which is reflected in the condition and can be addressed with replacement antique-style casters if desired. The pieces feature substantial construction and period details including carved foliate ornament, decorative moldings, turned legs and stretchers, scalloped base trim, carved corner details, and matching shield/ring-style hardware. We have intentionally not refinished or heavily restored the furniture, so the original finish and character have been preserved. This would be an excellent set for someone furnishing a historic home, guest room, traditional bedroom, or looking for a complete matching antique bedroom suite rather than individual mismatched pieces. Asking $1,850 OBO for the complete set. We would strongly prefer to sell the suite together rather than separate the pieces. Located in Ellensburg/Kittitas area. Furniture is large and moderately heavy; buyer will need to arrange pickup and transportation. I can provide additional photographs and measurements upon request.
