Organic Cotton and Wool Mattresses. Size: 39 x 76 x 3 (Twin / Single) New. Got these for my young son but ended up never using them. They have been stored in sealed bags with cedar since we got them. Jantz Design and The Natural Bedroom stems from Eliana Jantz, a pioneer in the organic mattress and natural bedding industry. In 1994, she co-founded The Natural Bedroom in Sebastopol, California, specializing in chemical-free, pure wool-filled bedding and organic mattresses. She later moved on to launch Shepherds Dream, continuing her legacy of introducing sustainable, toxic-free sleep environments to North America. These are now made and sold through Sheperds Dream: http://sonic.net/~jantz/wool_mattress.htm The 4 mattresses ( 20 lbs of wool) are being sold at Sheperds Dream for $750. These mattresses are closer to 3 . Two of the Mattresses are filled with 80% Organic Cotton and Wool ( 208 ounces of wool batting = 13 lbs). One of the Mattresses is filled with 100% Wool. I have not weighed this mattress but it presumably has at least 13 lbs of Wool and likely more. The Wool is Eco Wool from Woolgatherer Carding Mill. Woolgatherer Carding Mill maintains strict oversight regarding animal husbandry on its Pacific Northwest family ranches. They have a formal stance against cruel or harmful farm practices and explicitly guarantee that none of their regional growers practice mulesing. Because mulesing is a procedure primarily used on Merino sheep in Australia to combat flystrike, the domestic US sheep breeds used in their specialized mattresses are entirely free from this practice. Asking $450 for each mattress. $1,300 for all three. Use them as one bed - or two or three beds. Make offer. Prefer to sell all three together. Post will be removed when sold - If you see this then they are still available. To the scammers: Cash only. No Certified checks. No extra payments to hold while you are out of town or waiting for your daughters wedding. No personal info like address or name will be given.

A Desk Worthy of History – Magnificent Antique Jacobean Revival Carved Executive Desk with Leather Top Old-world craftsmanship. Timeless character. An extraordinary statement piece for the modern home. There was a time when furniture was made to be admired as much as it was made to be used. When the finest pieces of a home reflected the character, ambitions, and accomplishments of their owners. When a desk wasnt simply somewhere to work, but a place to write letters, contemplate decisions, pursue ideas, and perhaps even make a little history. This magnificent Jacobean Revival pedestal desk captures that spirit beautifully. Rich in architectural detail and unmistakably commanding in its presence, this antique desk offers a level of ornamentation, personality, and craftsmanship that is increasingly difficult to find in contemporary furniture. From its elaborately carved floral patterns and classical architectural detailing to the wonderfully expressive figures adorning its outer pedestals, nearly every inch of this remarkable piece invites a closer look. This is not simply furniture. It is an expression of character, craftsmanship, and history. A Celebration of Old-World Craftsmanship The desks richly detailed wooden exterior features an extraordinary collection of decorative elements: - Intricate foliate and fan carvings that bring depth, texture, and rhythm to its substantial wooden framework. - Remarkable carved human figures standing beneath floral embellishments, giving the piece a wonderfully distinctive, almost Renaissance-inspired personality. - Beautifully sculpted pedestal bases with bold, sweeping ornamentation that provides an imposing architectural foundation. - Traditional decorative drawer pulls and keyholes that complement its historic appearance. - An elegant dark leather writing surface, complete with a delicately tooled decorative border, offering a sophisticated contrast to the richly finished wood. The desk possesses a certain gravitas, the kind one might imagine occupying the private study of an English country estate, a distinguished university professor, or the office of an accomplished statesman. Yet its beauty is far from confined to the past. An Antique That Belongs in a Modern Home Perhaps the greatest quality of this desk is its remarkable versatility. Placed in a traditional library surrounded by bookshelves, warm lighting, and leather chairs, it feels perfectly at home, as though it has occupied the room for generations. Position it instead within a contemporary office, against clean white walls, minimalist architecture, or modern furnishings, and something equally wonderful happens. It becomes the rooms defining feature. The contrast between its historic ornamentation and the understated simplicity of a modern interior creates an atmosphere of sophistication that mass-produced furniture simply cannot replicate. Whether your tastes lean toward English country house, dark academia, traditional luxury, modern eclecticism, or a carefully curated executive office, this desk has the presence to elevate its surroundings. It is a piece intended to be seen, appreciated, and enjoyed. Practical Three-Piece Construction Despite its substantial appearance, this desk is thoughtfully constructed in three separate components, making transportation and placement considerably more manageable than its impressive size might suggest. The desk separates into: 1. Left pedestal: A freestanding chest of drawers offering generous storage. 2. Right pedestal: A matching freestanding chest of drawers, equally rich in decorative craftsmanship. 3. Desktop: The separate wooden top featuring the inset leather writing surface. The components can be moved individually and reassembled at their destination, making this an excellent option for an upstairs study, private office, or a room where maneuvering a single large desk would be difficult. Condition – Beautifully Aged, Wonderfully Authentic This is an antique piece with visible signs of age, previous use, and the passage of time. The wooden surfaces display areas of wear, small marks, and variations in finish consistent with an older furnishing. The leather writing surface shows visible wear, scuffs, and character developed through years of use. These are not the perfectly uniform surfaces of contemporary factory-made furniture. Rather, they contribute to the distinct personality and historic appearance of this remarkable desk. The carving remains visually impressive, with an abundance of fine decorative detail throughout. Please carefully examine all photographs, as they form an important part of the condition description. The desk is offered in its existing, photographed condition. Collection & Transportation LOCAL PICKUP ONLY – BUYER-ARRANGED FREIGHT COLLECTION CONSIDERED Due to the size, weight, and antique nature of this piece, local pickup is strongly preferred. However, I am willing to package the desks three separate components for shipment if the buyer independently arranges and pays for collection by an LTL freight carrier with liftgate service, where required. All shipping arrangements, carrier coordination, freight charges, and transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Please contact me before purchase if you intend to arrange freight collection so that packaging and pickup requirements can be discussed. An Invitation to Own Something Extraordinary There are countless desks available today. Sleek desks, minimalist desks, practical desks, and desks designed to disappear quietly into the background. This is not one of them. This is a desk that commands attention without asking for it. A desk that rewards a second look, and a third. A piece whose carved details reveal something new each time the light moves across its surface. It recalls an era in which furniture was meant to convey permanence, where a study was a sanctuary of thought and where fine craftsmanship was itself a mark of distinction. Imagine this desk beneath the warm glow of a brass reading lamp, surrounded by treasured books, family photographs, and the objects collected over a lifetime. Imagine the contrast of its centuries-inspired carvings against the elegant restraint of a modern home. And imagine the next chapter of its story unfolding in yours. For the collector, the traditionalist, the lover of history, or simply someone who believes a home should contain pieces as distinctive as the people who inhabit it, this desk offers something truly special. Some furniture fills a room. Other furniture gives the room its soul. A remarkable statement piece, ready for its next chapter.
