Hello Everyone, I can no longer receive Craigslist emails, my contact information is written below**. Thanks. These have beautiful lines, dynamic and they’re solid and sturdy. Designed by IImari Tapiovaara for Artek Finnland and the name of the line is “Fannet”. These chairs were only made by Artek. He designed the chair in 1955. They look great with a teak dining table, the seats are teak and the frames are beechwood. Later copies of these without the beautiful seat were widely manufactured in Jugoslavia in black, in fact these were the original inspiration for the more common and later Jugoslavian rocking chairs. The seats have a unique circular depression in the middle of the seat, seats curve downward (I wish I could have listed 10 more photos). Through the years 2 of the chairs have had minor repairs on the seats. I pictured all four seats so that you can see for yourself. All four present beautifully and are in very clean condition. This beautiful ONE-OF-A-KIND custom made club chair is a work of art. It was specifically made to help stage a 5 million dollar MODEL HOME in order to get the home sold fast. So this chair has never even been sat on and it is TOP SHAPE! Made in the U.S.A of solid wood. If you want to tie this piece of furniture in with a sofa or other items in the same room, I also have several matching pillows in the exact same fabric for sale separately as well. The chair is solid wood, stained in brown mahogany, with subtle metallic bronze accents. All of the wood is carved to be a work of art. Exquisite detail. Very firm and comfortable to sit in. The fabric is by Robert Allen and was over $265 per yard to purchase (As you can see from the last photo). This chair cost $1690 to create. Priced ridiculously low to clear the house in time for the new owners to move in. I tried to take photos in various lights, and also in the daytime and the nighttime so you could see all of the different hues of color it reflects in different lighting conditions. Overhead lights reflecting off the fabric tended to make the fabric look lighter in some spots than others, but just ignore that. Looks GREAT in person! PRICE IS FIRM!!!! OBO. Very rare SOLID square metal (wrought, not rot or rod, iron) tubing ensemble. Please study photos AFTER reading this. The satin black PAINT is in very good condition (no rust, cuts, erosion, flakes), and is very BLACK (NOT FADED) IN COLOR.*** The very fancy armchair is constructed from SOLID 3/8 square wrought iron tube skillfully heated and uniformly curved (scrolled at top of chair), and was obviously designed by an experienced and patient blacksmith (see example of fancy foot pods). Round solid tubing is used for the ornamental and symmetrical scrolls near the top of the backrest. The ottoman (stool) is made with hollow thick gauge 5/8 square tube and solid 5/16 square tube. Both would blend into an opulent, Hollywood Hills patio setting. Reupholster the still good, uniform, easy-to-recover cushions with your choice of a cloth pattern (with perimeter piping, perhaps)! No disappointments, believe me ***(looks even nicer in person, without the scrutinizing and bleaching of the flash camera; we have our windows blocking the sun indoors). Anything you see on the black paint is either a bit of dust or chalk. The paint IS really nice, even on the wooden vertical slats. This ensemble will hold at least a few hundred pounds, if necessary.
