Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 full frame lens for Sony E-Mount

A beautiful, compact, high-performing wide-angle prime lens for Sony E-mount cameras. Its a full frame lens, but can be used on a crop-sensor camera as well, and its small form factor fits in well with the Sony APSC cameras. Its small size also makes an ideal everyday carry sort of lens, and the wide angle of view, high sharpness and micro-contrast and beautiful rendering makes it a superb landscape lens or video, street, architecture, real-estate, and astrophotography sort of lens. Makes a great pairing with a ~35-50mm lens. With the high level of detail this produces, you can easily crop to 24 or 28mm and still get a good image. Though manual focus only, it has electronic contacts that communicate with the camera, so as soon as you turn the focus ring it auto-magnifies to help you achieve perfect focus. And honestly, with a 21mm lens, most everything will be in focus anyway if you just set it to infinity focus. The electric contacts also help sony cameras to activate in-body image stabilization to help when shooting without a tripod. And they allow for auto corrections of distortion and vignetting to be applied, either in camera or in post-processing software like Lightroom. The colors are superb. Theres something so rich and yet natural about the way it handles color. Zeiss is legendary for this particular aspect, which is often lost in the quest for modern lenses to just focus on sharpness and bokeh. This lens seems to be a goldilocks lens for just right size, sharpness, brightness, and rendering. There are lenses that do one of those qualities better, but none that capture that perfect balance. Oh and did I mention it has weather sealing? Very rare to have that in manual focus lenses. Works excellently for video as well, where manual focus is often preferred. The manual focus ring is wonderfully dampened to allow for very smooth and accurate focusing. Has an aftermarket front lens cap and hood, though honestly it doesnt really need the hood at all, as it has superb flare resistance. Cosmetic condition shows some signs of wear, but nothing that affects image quality. The solid metal construction and manual focus means this lens will outlast all the new plastic lenses, and it will still be sought after and usable decades from now. Comes with a Hoya protective UV filter. New price was $~1400, now it can be had new for ~$1000. Selling for $350 due to the wear, but it definitely punches above its price point!
