These beautiful understated Chippendale style chairs most likely date to the Centennial Revival Era. This period produced timeless furniture of very high quality. These styles became popular once again during the the 1950s onward, but these chairs predate that by far. Ink stamps on the underside show that these chairs were reupholstered in 1940 by the L.I. Jackson Co. in Oklahoma City. You can also see the loud blue of the original upholstery on the underside, which was another popular feature of the Centennial Revival. Among the cool details found in these chairs are the vase shaped splat back, cabriole front legs atop pad feet, sometimes called Dutch feet, and scrolled armrests on the hosts chair. The grain of the wood strongly suggests Honduran Mahogany. Condition-wise, the upholstery is 86 years old after all, with some staining, although only one is really discolored. The wood is generally outstanding, with the exception of the pad feet. Maybe 5 have some cracks which should be epoxied or glued, and one is actually missing the front of the pad - see pic. Ill double check where these were kept, just in case that piece is there. $650 for all six chairs . . . . a1919

Heavy, quality set, Birch veneer and hardwood solids (its heavy). Dresser with mirror (66W x 41H x 21D), bottom two drawers are cedar lined. Chest: 41 W x 67H x 20D, features hidden drawer in the middle. Two nightstands: 30 x 30 x 18, have two louvered doors with adjustable shelf and pull-out shelf just under the very top. Headboard, queen size, louvered panel with curved ends and base. Made for a mattress and box springs. Set in very good condition; not stained or scratched up. Get this set for less than half price new. This set is now discontinued; can still find pictures online. Ive included some on-line pictures so you can see it better (sorry they arent real good).
