Ive used it for many years in my home studio and it has been very reliable. It has a great low end with the 15 speaker and an 7 band graphic EQ. The speaker, electronics, and cabinet are in good shape. I am downsizing and this amp needs a good new home. It has lots of power for live performances. These are BRAND NEW, NEVER PLAYED, HANDLED WITH GLOVES TO INSPECT FOR DAMAGE AND PUT BACK IN PLASTIC BAGS IN BOXES (SOME ORIGINAL BOXES). These have never been out of boxes for even one day. Only made 2010-2012 and are Rock Tour, not Rock Tour Custom from the late 80s to late 90s. I read they didnt catch on because of matte finishes and limited music style for deep Mahogany tone. I actually love the finishes+ and the deep Mahogany tone. The tone fits the classic rock, heavier harder rock, hair bands, etc., of the 70s and 80s. If thats your thing, perfect. They will fit whatever style if you like the deep tone of Mahogany. These are called Textured Green Sunburst and they are constructed with 6 inner plies of Big Leaf Mahogany and 2 outer plies of highly figured Ash. I think they are classy and unique looking and I love the textured finish. This finish was harder to find than the others. I could not find them in the 4pc shell pack that included the snare or the 5pc shell pack that included the snare and the 14 tom. I could only find them in a 3pc shell pack with the 12 (does not come with YES tom mount) and 16 toms and 22 bass. I had to buy the 14 floor tom separately and could not find the matching snare anywhere. I finally got lucky and found a new one from a private seller on eBay or Reverb, cant remember. The private seller installed the DW MAG Throw-Off and 3 position butt plate. He did not do any extra holes, but had to slightly enlarge holes inward for the butt plate side (see photos). I didnt like the visual of the exposed holes and made a rubber gasket to cover them (see photos). I upgraded the wires to Puresound Pro 20 strand. The snare has never been played either, just like the rest of the set, no stick marks, no fingerprints, no dust. You will never find these in this condition. I paid $1495 (3pc $900, YES tom mount $30, snare $315 w/Mag Throw, 3 position butt plate and wires, 14 floor tom $250) not counting tax 14 years ago. With inflation, devaluation and depreciation, that would be $2130 today not counting tax. Price drop from $1799 to $1599. These are BRAND NEW, NEVER PLAYED, HANDLED WITH GLOVES TO INSPECT FOR DAMAGE AND PUT BACK IN PLASTIC BAGS IN BOXES (SOME ORIGINAL BOXES). Taken out for photos only. They are the last of the good PDPs (Pacific Drums & Percussion), with North American Maple. The new Concept series are made with Asian Maple and there is a noticeable sound difference. Those of you familiar with the CX, MX and LX series, please remember they were sold as a 5pc set with 14x5.5 snare, 10, 12 and 14 toms (all hanging) and a 22 bass. If you wanted the 8 or the 16 floor tom, you had to add them. The only other configuration was a rock set with a 24 bass, the same snare and 12 tom, but had an actual 14 floor tom vs a hanging one and a 16 floor tom. These were only available in two colors, Red Sparkle and Arctic Blue Oyster. These are the CX series in White Onyx with the added 8 mounted tom and 16 floor tom. I bought them new in 2009 but most are stamped 2007. Please note these are towards the end of production and feature the 20 lug bass (10 per side). The earlier ones were 16 lug. I sold the original snare because I like deeper snares. I added the Pacific Ace 6 1/2x14 nickel over brass snare (a Black Beauty at 1/3 the price) and upgraded the wires to Puresound Pro 20 strand (the snare and wires costs $310, not counting tax). I removed the protective plastic from the badge for photos and a small dent was exposed above where it reads All Brass Shell. Too late to return it, discontinued years ago. I couldnt see it until now. I upgraded all heads, except the snare, as follows. all tom batters are Attack Tone Ridge 2 Clear ($96 not counting tax at Sweetwater), all tom resonant are Attack ProFlex 1 Coated ($69 not counting tax at Sweetwater), bass batter is Aquarian Super Kick II and resonant is DW Black Vented ($116 not counting tax at Sweetwater). Thats just over $280 not counting tax of new heads, no stick marks. A friend bought a Red Sparkle rock set and did not want the 14 floor tom so I bought it from him. It wasnt even one day old, but he did hit it lightly so it has 10-12 very light stick marks on the stock DW batter head. I found the exact matching DW White Onyx wrap at a company out west and planned to build an 18 floor tom with the hardware, badge, leg mounts and legs from the red 14 floor tom but never got around to it. I am including the red 14 floor tom so you can build a matching snare, 13 tom or even 18 like I was going to. If youre not interested in doing any of that, you could at least convert the existing white 14 hanging tom to a real floor tom with the leg mounts and legs from the red one. I would think pretty much everyone would want to do that. You could plug the six holes on the red one and surely get $100 or more for it. None of these drums have sat out for even one day since new. There are over $280 of new heads, the Ace snare cost twice what the maple snare that came with this set did and I am including the red 14 floor tom (a 14 PDP Concept series floor tom is $310 and it is Asian maple). I will not sell the 8 or the 16 toms separately. I will sell these without the Ace snare if you want to do your own (I will deduct $200). If you do not want the red 14 floor tom (I will deduct $100). If you do not want the red 14 floor tom, but would like the leg mounts and legs to convert the white one to an actual floor tom (I will swap you the leg mounts and legs for the hanging mount and deduct $50 - please note, this means I get the whole red 14 tom including heads, rims, lugs, tension rods, badge and suspension mount less the leg mounts and legs). When viewing this listing, please consider a new 7pc Concept series shell pack is $1300 and with tax makes it just over $1400. With the new Concept set, you would not have the 20 lug bass, the $280 of upgraded heads, the Ace snare that cost twice what the maple snare does, the red floor tom that the equivalent Concept series cost $310 and probably the most important of all is they are North American Maple vs Asian. I have had various plans and projects over the years and some have worked out, some havent. Its past time for me to sell some unused gear. I paid $1930 for these between 2009 and now (5pc shell pack $800, 8 tom $150, 16 tom $250, Ace snare with wires $300, red 14 floor tom $150, heads $280), not counting tax. I sold the original white snare for $150, so I actually have $1780 in them not counting tax. With inflation, devaluation and depreciation, that would be $2770 today not counting tax.
