For sale is a highly collectible, authentic Victorian-era adjustable piano stool manufactured by John Gerts in Chicago, Illinois. Dating back to the 1880s–1890s, this piece features solid wood construction and the iconic aesthetic of the era. The heavy-duty cast iron swivel mechanism allows the seat height to be smoothly adjusted to accommodate any musician or to serve as a versatile accent piece in your home. The stool is supported by an octagonal central pillar and elegantly turned wooden legs, culminating in beautiful cast-iron eagle talons clutching clear glass spheres. Features & Details: Maker: John Gerts (Chicago, IL) – The cast iron mounting plate beneath the seat is authentically stamped with GERTS and CHICAGO. Design: Classic Victorian ball-and-claw feet featuring metal eagle talons over clear glass balls. Mechanism: Cast-iron threaded center spindle for smooth, fully rotational height adjustment. Construction: Solid turned wood frame with a heavy octagonal central column and matching cross-braces converging at a downward finial. Condition: This stool is in good antique condition and remains structurally sound. The height adjustment mechanism functions well. The original wood finish displays genuine, age-appropriate character, including fading, surface scratches, scuffs, and minor indentations on the seat top and legs. The glass ball feet are fully intact. A fantastic, sturdy piece of Chicago musical history ready for its next home. 14 x 14 x 18

Yes! We still have the couch, next question. It’s very heavy and you may want to arrange to have help loading it. I will delete the ad within an hour of it being sold. We asked Alta Pest Control to treat for mice, where we were going to have to store things in the garage. The tech told me he would not put the traps in the garage because that would draw mice IN to the garage. I believed him and I uncovered the sofa a couple days before a buyer who was going to pay $150 for it, was coming. No damage was on it when I uncovered it. If you want to have it reupholstered (KAD in Georgetown on Williams Dr. is great) or just put a cover over it, this is so comfortable. A mouse chewed several holes around the center console - see photos. We put a trap in the garage and caught the mouse. From a non-smoking home. 2-recliner sofa. Two Drink and remote holders in center console. Very comfortable and lays back to your comfort level. There are some small existing holes in the back, new holes caused by mice by the center arm rest (see pix 5 & 6 - they are of the same spot) and one on the left side as you are facing it. If that arm is against a wall, no one would see it. Color looks like photo 1 in front of brick wall. It’s 7’ wide x 33” x 36” tall at highest point. Delivery fee to your curb is based on distance and time round trip at $35/hr. No cashiers cheques or shipping agents. PayPal , Venmo or cash is acceptable. NOTE: Listing will be deleted once item is sold. Most inquiries as to whether it is still available turn out to be spammers so Im now ignoring those. Pretend you asked if its available, I said, yes and then ask your question. Dont ask me to write you at a personal email address. The craigslist method works just fine.

For sale is this magnificent rectangular dining table with some of the finest Danish craftsmanship seen in all my tenure of restoring vintage furniture. Circa 1960s, Ive restored many Danish teak tables over the years and this one came out great...its absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years, then pass along to the next generation for their enjoyment too. OVERVIEW: This rectangular beauty is of the utmost quality and once again in pristine condition after being lovingly restored. It now exudes that wonderful warm, old-growth teak glow and has just been refinished so it now exudes a beautiful protective finish with period-correct satin sheen throughout. Closely inspect the pictures and youll also notice the beautiful tabletop book-matched wood-graining all the way from one end to the other...meaning one congruent woodgrain pattern end-to-end...they certainly dont make furniture of this quality anymore. SIZE/DIMENSIONS: The scale of this dining table would be best suited for medium-to-larger sized dining spaces as the table extends longer than normal teak dining tables of the era. It is 59.5 x 39.25 at is smallest, then extends to a whopping 106.5 when fully extended - thats enough for 8-10 (maybe 12) people. Two 23.5 extension leaves are cleverly stored and hidden under the tabletop, nice and convenient. Normal vintage teak dining table height, 29.5 high. CONDITION: Its just been lovingly restored/reconditioned so it now exudes a beautiful sheen with that lovely warm teak glow to showcase the beautiful old-growth teak wood-grain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that Ive addressed but this one turned out superb and presents beautifully overall. PLEASE NOTE this table is not in vintage or as-found good condition as youll see on many local listings. Keen attention was paid to lovingly bring this beauty back to life with a complete restorative overhaul and protective period-correct finish so itll last for another 30+ years of dining. This table now presents beautifully and is a high-quality piece of MCM furniture. NEED CHAIRS - check my other listings as I have many that would work lovely with this set! If this posting is up ITS STILL AVAILABLE, contact me for prompt response...I could assist with delivery within a reasonable distance and nominal fee, well figure something out if you need. Very Midcentury, Moller, teak, Danish, MCM, retro, mid-century, atomic, vintage. Sorry, no holds on any/all of my pieces without deposit/payment. All sales final.
