I believe this was the very first generation of Cannondale with the 26-in wheel East Coast frame,the 87 SM400 (prior to the more nimble Beast of the East). This frame measures 18 in center to top of the seat tube with a 22 and 1/2 in center to center top tube. This is a well-preserved version that has been restored, as in (thoroughly cleaned & tuned), and then modified with a slightly more modern, but significantly more functional, high level Shimano indexed drivetrain. (All original drivetrain parts are included). Besides a complete tune-up and drivetrain upgrade, the bike has been completely, professionally tuned up including truing, rounding, and dishing of the wheels, new cables and casings, adjustment of all bearings, new grips and saddle, and a thorough adjustment of these rare, beautiful, and powerful Suntour roller cam brakes. She rides beautifully now, and this frame geometry makes this a nimble and comfortable ride. This is a very rare bicycle at 39 years old. Please see the pictures for more details. The paint has very few minor scratches....maybe one or two.
