Shop Assistant

Job Posting: Entry Level Shop Assistant Location: Kelso, Wa Schedule: 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday Compensation: $18/hr Ecology is an innovative, solid wood furniture company based in Woodland, Washington that designs and builds dining tables, benches, coffee tables, and chairs using sustainably-harvested hardwoods. Our work is design-focused, made to last, and built entirely by hand, for customers all over the country. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Shop Assistant to support our luxury furniture production team. This is a hands-on role in a shop environment, where attention to detail and a proactive attitude are essential. Prior woodworking or production knowledge is not required for this role. Key Responsibilities Shop Maintenance: Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and free of debris. Material Handling: Safely moving, stacking, and organizing lumber and hardware. Production Support: Assisting builders with basic tasks and prep work as needed. Safety: Strict adherence to safety rules and guidelines with no exceptions. Requirements Punctuality: You arrive on time, every time. Coachability: A strong willingness to learn and follow leadership’s instructions. Works well with others and adheres to shop culture. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and remain active throughout the day. Professionalism: Respect for our team, materials, and work are essential.
