1979 Malibu 9C1 POLICE CAR

This is a 1979 Malibu 9C1 police car, ordered by Bob Brown Chevrolet in Des Moines IA for a department who did not buy the car, so after 3,480 miles of use as a demo car, a private buyer bought it and kept it for 30 years. He sold the car to a guy in Missouri in 2008, then I bought it a year later. This rare Malibu is FULLY documented from day 1. They didnt make many of these cars. This is by far the best documented 9C1 you will find anywhere. I have a folder full of paperwork for this car. It has the original 350 engine (only available with the police package), 120MPH instrument cluster, front and rear swaybars (it handles great), giant radiator, stab-proof front seat, etc. All parts are there except the power steering pump, fan, and air cleaner. The first person who shows up with a truck, trailer, and $3,500 cash gets this rare gem. Price is firm. Put $6-7k into it and resell it for $20-25k+. This is a project car that does not run. It does have some rust in the drivers side floorboard, the front of the rocker panel on that side, and the back of the frame rails where it adjoins the bumper. The original owner had it coated by Ziebart and kept it clean and maintained, so the bulk of potential rust damage was avoided. All in all its quite savable and well worth your time.
