Antique Fender for fireplace. Traditionally would sit on the hearth just outside of the fireplace opening. A fender protects the hearth and acts to define the boundary of the fireplace. Cast iron. No cracks or broken pieces. Nice molded corners and decorative rail. Some surface rust on the underside. 29 inches long and 11 inches wide. About 5 inches tall. Make and age are unknown. 2 vintage wrenches. 1 is a Snap-On model S-71. It is 1/2 inch drive. There is a patent number stamped on the handle, 1854513. This patent was issued in 1932. Since patents are for 17 years it’s possible that this wrench was made before 1949. It is in excellent condition. No rust or stains whatsoever. The other is a Craftsman 3/8 inch socket wrench of the “Flying V” variety. It is in good condition with signs of use but not abuse. Text me at 502-445-4279.

Rabbet Wood Plane. Made in Sheffield, England. This is Model 778. It says in the company’s history that this model was called a Duplex Rabbet and Filletster Plane and that they were made between 1959 and 2004. The blade is 1.5 inches wide. The plane is complete with all the parts- depth stop, rods, fence, nicker, and all the screws. The rods are 5 inches long. They fit perfectly but I’m not certain if they are original. It has nearly all of its original blue japan finish. In fact the plane looks brand new and possibly has never been used. Text me at 502-445-4279.

SOLD Vintage Machinists Tools. Calipers, small drill press vise, try squares, micrometer, depth gauges, gap gauge, steel rules, torpedo level, and tiny C clamps. Brands include Brown and Sharp, Starrett, and Lufkin. No cheap imported brands. All show minor signs of use but are in very good condition. Includes an unusual Starrett No. 270 taper gauge and a 2 inch Brown and Sharp steel square. All comes in a vintage “TrueCraft” tool box.
