Price Negotiable! Born on a small island called Florianópolis, Marize was the first of seven children. Her father, a visionary businessman and one of the great pioneers of Southern Brazil, brought experiences from various parts of the world from his travels. From her mother, she inherited a taste for aesthetics and crafts. Her first glimpse of art came at a young age – she tried to capture the outline of a baby bottle on paper. At that moment, the challenge of becoming an artist was a lifelong one. Mother of three daughters and grandmother of seven grandchildren, Marize experimented with various art forms. She worked as a fashion designer, brand designer, and painted with watercolors, India ink, charcoal, and graphite. After turning 50, she decided to pursue digital art, considerably updating and expanding the universe of possibilities. After a period in Vienna – dedicated to observing museums in 2015 – she realized the absence of female artists throughout art history. Thats when she felt inspired to use fragments of works by great male masters in contemporary reinterpretations. Most women, with their roles as mothers, domestic chores, and specifically their men, die hidden—with all their intelligence, art, and talents, the artist claims.
