I usually soak and then clean all my copper and brass items after a few days of soaking, and then I scrub them to get ready to take pictures. Then when I sell an item like 4 months later or so, I have to clean the copper or brass again, because I like it to go out nice, and I just cant keep up with the cleaning any more like I used to, its actually pretty hard. I started selling belt buckles and bolo ties, and I clean up the dirty one, I can bring them back to life again with a good soaking and scrubbing I do if needed. Most all of my buckle and bolo ties and from the 70s and 80s mostly. I was in the navy for 8 years, and I even wrote a book about it called Navy Fun by me, Vince Stead.
