Antique 1950 Have a Pepsi Pepsi-Cola Double Sided Window Glass Sign

Vintage Pepsi-Cola Color Signage, Double Sided Marketing Logo from 1950s Grocery Store Glass Window. Have a Pepsi and Thank You Call Again each mark a side of the window glass cutting. Cut from the huge display front window glass of a corner store neighborhood grocery store in our community, built around 1906. (I can provide more details, address of former store, and even photos of the old store if you enjoy the history behind it) When the corner store was remodeled and turned into a duplex, this original Pepsi logo sign was cut from the old window glass near the entrance door. It faced west in the lower corner to greet all patrons as they entered and exited. A bit of history saved! Intact and uncracked! One side is nice and bright while the other side which faced outdoors is naturally faded from use over decades on a grocery store window. Some scuffs, of course, after all this time - see close-ups. Bottom edge was inset within the store front window frame 9/16 inches. Feel free to request additional images and close-ups. Pepsi History fun facts: 1950 - A third color changes everything -Today, we think of Pepsi as blue. It’s the “blue team” to Coke’s “red team.” But before 1950, Pepsi and the color blue had no relationship—until they unveiled their bottle cap logo. The wordmark remained the same, but now it was on a tangible canvas, rather than floating in space. In the wave of patriotism that followed World War II, making the logo red, white and blue just made sense. With the red logo and similar font to Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola always struggled a bit to get out from under the shadow of the competing brand. This is one case where the brand confusion led to some defining moves on Pepsi’s part. While the banner wordmark stayed the same, its wavy lines were emphasized in the background color swaths on the angled bottlecap logo. “More bounce to the ounce” became the drink’s tagline, in an attempt to promise more fun than the competition’s product.
