MAGNIFICENT, ANTIQUE, TABRIZ, ORIENTAL RUG: 11.6x8.9

This is a rich looking and beautifully detailed, Antique Oriental rug, that was hand-knotted in Turkey in the 1950s. The design style is known as a TABRIZ. This TABRIZ is in excellent condition, and features a visually beautifully design in earth-tone colors, with small floral elements (leaves, branches and flowers) across the field. The exact size is 11.6x8.9 (...So about eleven and a half by 9 feet). This gorgeous oriental is available for sale, because the City Lakes staged home, in which it was featured, has sold. (We take our rugs back after staging to sell them for a portion of their cost, to charge a lower staging fee.) The colors are soft and rich because the woolen yarn was dyed using vegetable dyes for a richer yet softer, and deeper color than harsh chemical dyes used in lesser quality rugs.) This oriental is a really beautiful piece that will enhance any space in which you decide to use it. This TABRIZ was constructed of 100% virgin wool on a cotton warp (understructure). Its a beautiful piece, with a unique and highly detailed design that can be used in many ways. This rug features 120 KPSI (knots per square inch), with a total of about 2,900,000 knots, and it took about 3200 hours of labor to hand knot this piece. It is of excellent quality, consistent with what we would expect in a very good quality Oriental rug. This rug was selected for its beautiful, rich, and impressive design, and it would be fantastic in an office or study, a dining room, a den, a bedroom, a living room, or a family room.
